I have bought a new computer Acer Aspire M 7720. I can play no more than 2-3 minutes. Further fps falls till 18-20. I have changed a card on nvidia (in comp original ATI vcard work similar 2-3 min and down fps 18-20), too the most 2-3 minutes of game. I think a problem in a chipset. In BIOS has not found what that of adjustments which could be changed.

I have HD4870x2 2G now.....but this is my friend's one ...
he rent me it 3 weeks...so i could try it for many bench and games.

giga? asus? msi? foxcon?......and what is your os?

Maker MB Acer - Acer FX58M. Vista home premium 64 bit. For other OS not driver? only vista 64 bit.

Im find in internet similar problem. Cant find. May be on other languige find.

One question :
Which mouse do you use?

I have instal the driver to this one, i have read that if the setting to your mouse is incorrect, your fps down very often, because mouse set your fps with resolution...400 dpi ; 800dpi ; 1600 dpi or other...
Try it mf...

Hmmm...In japan ,acer desktop pc is not populer..then we cant buy them..so i cant find japanese forum for help about
this pc. but acer note book is vry populer in our country. as low plice note or atom pc.

Im use SideWinder. when play FEAR combat use resolution 400 dpi. COD4 800 dpi.
Later,im lunch my xfire,now busy.

My opinion, it MB. Problem with chipset.

Another question, how you have install your programs, copy to your old computer? or you have reinstall all?

Im played with driver for mose and without and dont have problem. It my 5 comp, every 2 years im change comp, but problem 1 time.

Im had many problem with comp, but similar never.

yes mf..but only 3 weeks. this is not mine. my friend's card.
he changed his system to gtx285 SLI..then he rent me his 4870x2 3weeks. so i could try this card for many bench and games. very great card and I have returned this card to him my pc has no card now

buuuuut today I will get real mine card...GTX295:)

I have found the reason. Problems with COD 4 are not present. A problem only with FEAR combat. On 2 or 3 minute fps becomes 20. The Same problem at me was on vista 32 bit but only when it is included xfire. All problem, that for the given computer is the driver only for vista of 64 bits. For other operational systems is not present.

Problems in Direct 9, my opinion or codec.

I have solved a problem. It has created Vista.

You get a BIG drop in performance because you have one of these
device in any games that uses FEAR engine :
- G5 Mouse ?
- G7 Mouse ?
- G15 Keyboard ?

Here is the solution for you :

Go in "Device Manager"
Expand "Human Interface Devices"

Disable all "HID-compliant device"
where Hardware Ids begin by :

"HID\Vid_046d&Pid_c041&..."

How will you know the Hardware Ids ?

- Right click on the device and select "Properties"
- Switch to Details Tab
- Select Hardware Ids Property in the drop-down list

It "Human Interface Devices" made problem with xfire. Earlier I could not play with included xfire.. FPS down 20. now,not problem.
